As manufacture security improves, so the methods used by thieves to bypass these systems adapt. Small, flat-bladed screwdrivers have been replaced by the latest power tools as criminals look to access and override vulnerable parts of the locking mechanism.
We developed the LatchShield range to discreetly protect vulnerable areas of locking systems without having an external plate visible/bolted through the vehicle body. The internal shield, manufactured from manganese steel, offers an extra layer of protection against this type of attack with easy installation and unbeatable strength. Externally, we supply a reflective TVL Security vinyl warning sticker that warns thieves the plate is in place internally.
